Description
F518 armchair by Geoffrey Harcourt for Artifort 1980s
SOLD TO PARIS, FRANCE
About the item:
Most likely the most comfortable armchair Artifort has produced to date.
This design, originally from the 80s, by the well known English designer Geoffrey D. Harcourt (1931) who contributed to Artifort with a lot of iconic designs.
The central frame of the chair consists of multiplex wood and around this structure a large foam structure was designed. This is then upholstered. The foam section consists of 3 separate parts, hence the lining in the chair.
Because the chair is fully designed around the body, the seating comfort is absolutely unmatched. The build quality is superb as well.
As well, due to the swivel structure the chair is very practical as well.
This specific F518 features beautiful blue/green De Ploeg Toulouse fabric and a cream white metal foot.
The chair doesn’t bear any markings but its authenticity is easily provided through sources.
These chairs aren’t produced anymore by Artifort hence becoming more rare.
