Description

French Maple Wood Coffee Table with Dry Bar Compartment by Paul Michel, 1970s

About the item

Stunning high gloss coffee table in lacquered maple wood by French designer Paul Michel. The table slides open to reveal a fully mirrored dry bar with storage for four liquor bottles and a glass shelf for glasses. The outside of the base is mirrored, which makes the tabletop seem to float.

The tables have a similarity to the Willy Rizzo coffee tables but still they have their own look and feel. The sliding mechanism to open the dry bar certainly stands out from Willy Rizzo products.

The lacquered maple wood provides a typical 80s Memphis style and will look good in any modernist or contemporary interior.

The table is built very sturdy and only with the use of high quality materials.

The provenance of these pieces is guaranteed by an original delivery note from the first owner.

About its condition

All the glass is perfectly intact, in excellent condition. The table has some minor chips in the lacquer layer on the edges of the tops.
