Italian modernist red travertine and metal square coffee table 1970s

About the item

This beautiful red travertine and metal square coffee table is of unknown designer and producer but surely bares a lot of similarities with the 70s Italian style of marble tables by Angelo Mangiarotti and in particular Mario Bellini (Collonat series for Cassina). However, in contrast to the more known artists the difference is that the table has a metal base instead of a marble base.

The design of the metal feet is certainly very special, whereby the oval feet have been placed in a cross form towards each other.

The red travertine top has a polished and edged surface.

About its condition

The table is in very good overall condition, with only a very small damage on one of the edges.
